Prismatic Evolutions introduces Eevee and the Eeveelutions as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex. This special expansion also introduces two parallel Holofoil variants that may appear on cards, featuring a Poké Ball or a Master Ball etched in the background, alongside the regular parallel holofoil variant. Pokémon cards of Common, Uncommon, and Rare rarity are available in all three variants; Trainer cards of Common and Uncommon rarity are available in the regular and Poké Ball variants only.
Prismatic Evolutions contains mostly cards from the Japanese Terastal Fest ex subset and Generations Start Decks; from the latter, cards relating to Generations I, II, IV, and VI are included. Prismatic Evolutions contains six ACE SPEC Trainer cards, 10 Pokémon ex, 15 Tera Pokémon ex, 12 ultra rare Supporter cards, 32 special illustration rare cards (26 Pokémon ex and 6 Supporter cards), and five hyper rare gold etched Pokémon ex cards.
